New MT CL-S? Worth trading...

I am leasing a 02TL-S no navi. Is it worth it to trade it in ang get the CL-S(i drove it and and it feels a hella lot quicker than the TL-S)or wait to see what Acura has for 2004TLS?

The cl-s manual is definately a better performing car than the tls.
But i think the tl looks alot better and is more practical.

If you are trading in, I would like to know what the difference you would have to pay.

Be prepared to bend over and take it if you try to get out of your lease. There aren't many leases which let you walk away.

When I had my '01 CL-S, I had it for a little over 4 months and gave it in early (was leased) for the Z06. I ended up having to pay 4,800 to get rid of it. See, what they do is, say ok your car is worth X amount of dollars and we will give you Y amount. You subtracy Y from X and that's the difference you would have to pay. I went around to different dealers and saw who gave me the best price (It just ended up being Park Ave Acura, in which I bought the car from). A lot of the dealers were telling me that there was not a high demand for the car since the 6 speed was about to come out (this is the whole reason I wanted to get rid of the car in the first place, go figure). So, shop around to see who will give you the most for your car.

P.S. They really don't give you anything extra for MODs, so take them out if you have them. I wanted to try to break out even with the comptech headers and exhaust and video on the navi with the DVD player, but that didn't happen

A lease contract is just like a loan. You pay off your commited
lease contract and then pay off the balance of the car.

IMO, a 6-speed TLS would be worth it. But the new CLS is an
ugly car with no bodykit.

Keep in mind that CL resale value is a joke. A '01 CL can be had for about $3-5K less than a '01 TL when they both stickered for about the same thing when new. There's been some hints that Acura may drop the CL entirely when the redesigned Accord/TL platform is introduced.

you can get out of lease, easily if you are trading for another Acura. It's a little different when you dump it for a different make. My buddy just did it, he had a 2001 Accord that he was upside down on by 3 grand. They put him in a 2002 TLS /NAvi for the same payments, $0 down, $0 to swap the cars.
