sup acurazine just thought i would introduce myself as this site seems to have alot of good info. i recently bought a 2003 type s a spec and had a question.
the car currently has about 264k km on it (roughly 165k miles) and i dont have much info on the work done to it so what kind of maintenance should i be doing?
thanks.

Spark plugs and timing belt, if they haven't been done already.

Sick looking car. Definitely post more pics.

Nope. it was the starter, 2 motor mounts, idle control motor, throttle body had to be cleaned and ball joints had to be replaced.
And thanks for the advice on mods ive been trying to figure out what to add. so far the only mod ive added since i got it was interior led lights.

I would:
Headers - Better Power
Legend Calipers - Better Stopping Power
Coil-Overs - Better Stance, Handling
Anti-Roll Bars - Better Handling +
SunVisors Complete Set - Better Looks, Avoid Sunlight XD
HID Fog Lights - Better Visibility at Night
Fog Light Mod - Use when you Want them!

And Basically Remove the Crappy Sound System and Install a Godlike Sound System.

Its good you already have such an Awesome Model to Start With... I need Your Spoiler, Your Body Kit, Quad-Pipes... Damn....

So far my plan is to get everything running well then save some cash and hopefully in feb start adding mods the first will definetly be a set of rims then maybe some of the stuff you suggested.

Try the Cheap-Stuff that makes the car Stand out!
The Fog Light mod is just -60 Bucks Away and it Will look awesome on the A-Spec with their OEM DRLs..

Other Cheap Mods:
1.- Legend Calipers around 110 Bucks = Killer Improve over the POS 1 Pot Caliper, It will save alot of Brake Pads (Wear) and Rotors from Warping Faster.

2.- Complete SMD Interior Courtesy Lights around 25 bucks shipped on Ebay for 2 x 12" SMD Light Strip and around 5 bucks for alot of Electronic thin wire from Radioshack...

Completed look like this:

With only 2 x 12" Strips! Just be Crafty and you can even do Trunk and Engine Bay with only those strips...

Picked the tl because it works well in every category luxury performance and has lots of space while it still looks nicer then most cars in my opinion.

Hey Kurtis1234, check the motor's T-stat. If in doubt of condition, replace with the original Honda 2-stage style T-stat which is engineered specifically for our cars' motor. Make sure that the cooling system is at a 50/50 coolant mix and always "burp" the system of any trapped air. Have the system pressure checked.

Another thing to inspect is the heater valve cable, which is located under the hood .....near the center or the rear firewall. Sometimes the cable will get dry or sticky, and bind. Simply, spray a penetrating lube on the cable to help free it up.

Congrats on your new car. However, unless you're really comfortable with you're current repair shop, the price seems a little high for the repairs you listed.

my dad is one of those people who says the only place that can fix it is the dealership so i was pretty much forced to go there, but also im guessing the prices in canada are higher
