And do I need to buy D2r or D2S?

For OEM you can probably get it a littler cheaper than $125. You would need to get D2R for direct swap. D2S you will have to modify a little so go with D2R.

You should be able to pick up a pair from ebay between 75-100 shipped, for replacements, I've seen that.

First off FIND OUT if its the bulb or the ballast or the ignitor! I THOUGHT one of my bulbs burned out so I purchased a set of Genuine 6000k bulbs only to find out that it was the BALLAST's fault.

Also...which bulbs do you have? Certain years/makes will have Philips, while other may use Oshram. A quick search on e-bay for a used Philips D2R bulb is only $40. But...I have 1 of each just in case.

Take the bulb that works and plug it into the other socket. If it lights, you know it was the bulb. If it doesn't, it's the ballast or ignitor.

Yeah swap it with a good bulb with the side that is working, it isn't too hard to do... just becareful and take your time.

DO NOT touch the bulb with your bare hands. you can grab it by the base and stuff, just dont touch the actula bulb. it will mess them up. so be careful.

find yourself a used replacement on ebay.. 40-50$$?? d2r, theres no sence of buying a new one unless you get the pair.
