well, i just got my new PIAA super plasma bulbs. I tried putting them on the fogs and they seemed to not be a match, but just to compare the bulb directly with the HIDS, i put it in the high beams. They were an exact match to the stock hids! I think the reason why they seemed different in the fogs is because of the metal piece surrounding the bulb. It covers the 3/4 of the bulb that has the plasma lining. (3/4 of the bulb has the plasma lining and 1/4 of it is completely clear) My question is, does that metal piece serve a purpose or is there a way to remove it? cuz if it matched perfectly with the HIDS in the high beams, then they should match in the fogs right? Any comments would be appreciated...thanks

it seems to me that the bulbs u have are 9005 which are for the h/b. the fogs take 9006 bulbs.

they are 9006 bulbs...i just looked to see if they would match by putting them in the high beams

but the connector of 9005 will not fit into 9005 so how would u test them out?

Just file the inner bulb holder down and it will fit both 9005 and 9006 sockets.
