New England Import Wars (10-12-02)
Wassup y'all! As some of you may know there is an import wars car show coming up on Oct 12th at the NE dragway in NH. Since its been a while since we had a real serious NE meet I figured this might be a good time and place. Some of us are already going but I wanted to give other people a heads up to mark the date down. We might try to get some Acura and Audi people together and who knows, maybe get some discounted tickets or something. Feel free to invite anyone. I'll have more details as we get closer but I wanted to get an idea of how many people would be interested. You can even enter to race or some other contests (I think there is a shine off). The event starts in the morning I believe so maybe we can get lunch or something afterwards (I'd say stripclub but the lady will be coming with me). So far I believe the following are going:
ferizzo
Ray_khan
Beruity
BMW74 (maybe)
a friend and her VW 337
Let me know who else is diggity-down!

this should be a great oppurtunity to
get some nice times. The weather should be in the 60's :>) I'm looking forward to seeing what kinf of times Beruity can pull off. It should be fun. Hope to see you all there.
BTW. It's $17 to be a spectator, $25 to race and doors open at 10 AM IIRC.

I know some Audi's are going
Larry will be with me...I doubt his car will be ready for this thing. Ivan is going too....I doubt he will race though. His car looks awesome...jiust like an S4, except that the silver is a tad darker and he has a non tiptroic auto, FWD 170 S4 :>)

Good call...I wnat to get therer right when the
gates open...more runs and cooler air. I want to do about 4-6 runs if I can and be done early. Then have time to check out cars and relax and leave whenever I get bored. I'm not sure what I'm expecting to run (in my Audi A4) I better beat my 15.9 from Auguesst. I'll be running 15" wheels with no spare as opposed to my 17's, and hopefully I will have a new engine management program too. It was in the 70's and humid when we ran in August. If I can get my 60 ft time down a little, I'm sure the other stuff will help a lot and get me a decent mid to low 15....we'll see. Time to start practicing my launches.

Don't be silly
the kid will love it! Where are you coming from. We are probably going to start a caravan up there from a convenient meeting spot. I say Stoneham, since I live there and people coming from south on 95/128 and 93 will have to go through it. There is a strip mall called Redstone shopping paza right off the rt 28 Stoneham exit of 93. I think it's exit 36 but not sure. It's the one right atfer you pass 95/128. From there it's about 35-45 minutes to epping. I would vote for that @9 or so. There is a Dunkin donuts there for all you mornig coffee drinkers.

Count on me to be there too, but sadly, I won't have my wheels by then. There not due in until late October. My father told me last week that he wants to check it out too. Also, Ray_Khan, I got your PM, my scanner is broken so I'll photocopy the torque specs out of my book and give them to you on the 12th.

Now I am getting excited and I'm not even running (I would if I got my headers this week and installed by the 12th...doesn't look like its happening). So far we have:
ferizzo
Beruity
JTLS
Iggy (Maybe)
BMW74
Ray
01CL-S (maybe - from the CL board)
Copland007
VW337 girl
A4 (Ivan)
There maybe some Lexus guys coming as well but I don't plan on organizing anything at clublexus. I think next week we can plan out how to meet up with everyone. I guess we can just meet you NH guys there but A few of us can meet on the way up. Good stuff fellas! Don't forget the cameras guys (I'm too broke to own one)!

one thing.. there is 45 mins drive from Nashua to Epping... we can plan on meeting in one of Nashua's mall.. like the Pheaant lane mall....
And the drive on 101 is just a blast 100+ MPH easy but of course you have to be protected by V1 and be lucky as there might be areal patrols...

I don't mind going that way either...
I live right on 93 and 128....so going up rt 3 to meet up there is cool too. I'm not sure if it's much difference going to Epping that way. I sill think we shoudl meet somewhere like Stonehma or Burlington for all the people coming form Boston and south, then meet up in NH. Throw some ideas at me. Again...my only concern is gettting there to race when they start. I want to get all the cold air runs in I can, and don't want to wait in lines.

At this point it seems some of us are trying to get there by 9am (I know its early but some people want to get some runs in early on). I'll probably be meeting up with Ray in or around Stoneham around 8:30ish or so. If anyone else is interested PM me with you email address so I can send out an email when we decide where we are meeting. We'll probably go straight to epping so I guess we can meet the NH people up there. Driving to Nashua would be too out of the way and vice versa for you guys to meet us somewhere in MA. I'll let someone else in NH to get something going as far as a caravan.
Hope to see you guys there!

ha!
we are meeting at 7...leaving by 7:30. Yes we are anal and we want to be get there and be first to run. I have no idea how many cars will be there. There are usually few imports there on the nights I've been there. So unless people are coming out of the woodowrk, I am asumming lines won't be too long to run. Remember, earlier is cooler, cooler is faster!

7am??? Since I am not running you'll just have to tell me about it! Ray, if you are that gung-ho, maybe I'll just meet you there. If I had my headers it would be a different story. Maybe we can have three groups head up there:
Ray and the "I wanna be the first to race" group
Me and "7am, are you crazy!"group
and the NH people (you get your own group)

Alright everyone, Hope to see you guys there! Ray and I will be in touch but it seems we might be going up in separate groups. I plan to head up there around 8-8:30 getting me there around 9:30-10am. Ray I believe is trying to be there by 8:30-9am. If anyone is interested in caravaning up with me let me know. Email me at faerazo@homail.com or PM me. See y'all there!

you lazy mutha fu.....
never mind. Personally..I don't think you would get out of bed to be in Stoneham by 7:30 if you had the headers, CAI, supercharger blah blah blah. But anyway...There are at least 5 or 6 of us meeting in Stoneham, right off 128 between 7 and 7:30. It's the Dunkin Donuts in the Redstone Plaza It's just a few hundred yards off the exit. Look for a bunch of Audis and hoepfully some Acuras too. hope to see you there. We are going early to beat the crod...lots of ricers in NH and we don't want to wait in line. Plus a few guys need a few miles to have their cars adapt to the race fuel. Anyway...we are jsut anal and have no lives.

Yes and yes...you are anal and have no life! troll!!! I'll do my best to get up early but with Jaime around I will probably be hungover and very tired! Shoot I might not make it till noon!
In all honesty I'll try and be there by 7:00...Maybe you can have a sleep over and then I'll have no choice. Oh and there is a small chance that I may have to leave the TLS home and ride up with you but I'll call you with more info.

you guys can sleep over my place if you want to
but I am planning to leave early...maybe as early as 11:30. I am thinking of goin g back to lexingotn to play soccer. If i get 4-6 runs in by 11:30...I'll probably take off.
I'll call you in a bit so we can make plans. There is a fairly decent group meeting at 7:00. Probably as many as 8 of us. One guy with a 400+ hp S4 i rode in last night.....500 ft lbs of torque is NASTY!

I guess the Audi people are just better than us! They have about 8 people (5-6 cars) and we have what three (me, Beruity and copland) with a few maybes? I'll get in touch with the bunch of you tonight or tomorrow to see who is going and what time would be good. Later
