Hey all,

I got a chance to see the new honda accord coupe commercial on tv lastnight...I do like the car...especially the indiglo dash ...what do you all think?

ps: 240hp too

 

Coupe is ok, but I'll pass on the sedan. The Acura TSX is coming anyway, why bother with the accord

oh man the new accord sedan is freaking ugly. reallly i dont care if it had 400 hp, the god damn car is just ugly. the rear looks like a the previous sedan but with the tail lights lowered ewww.

 

yeah, they truly did kill the accord on this one. now its all up to previous satisfied customers and their good reputation to sell these new accords. i guarantee you though they wont keep this design around long once they see how bad sales figures are

 

the coupe is ugly too...too long and fat...and a mercedes wannabe...but i'd hafta say that both of the interiors are :wow: :wow: :wow:

 

well i guess, the phrase piece of **** does fit this new accord
i have never seen a car look so much like " a piece of **** " as this one....... especially the front

 

The Sedan is Fugly..I have yet to see the Coupe...but I'm interested.

 

I think the new Accords are much better looking. They are not as conservative as the blandly styled 98-02’s. I think the dash is much better looking than our TLS. Check out the drag coefficient. .29 for the coupe and .30 for the sedan. Isn’t our like .32 or .33?

I’m not too worried about one pulling up to me at a stoplight though. Their horsepower is more peaky than ours reaching its maximum hp at 6250, and the torque curve isn’t near as high and flat as ours. Max torque 212@5000rpm. My prediction would be the TL-S would spank the new 5sp auto v6 off the line, but would be closer at highway races. The new 6sp coupe will be closer, but I’m still willing to bet the Type-S auto will still be faster.

Interesting enough..I'm anticipating such a challenge one of these days..I know someone around here is gonna get the new Accord Coupe 6spd...and will be anxious to race people...I'm just gonna wait and see....before I open my big mouth...hmm...

 

extra power of the 3.0 liter v-6 coming partly from an exhaust manifold that is directly molded to the cylinders and a more agressive exhaust. I this type of exhaustt manifold lessens the heat exchange or something like that. Either way, it seems to be that a header isn't happening for this engine now. So it's a superchrager or nothing.

 

I'm in the minority but I had the chance to follow one the other day (fiancee's co-worker) and I thought it looked pretty good. I didn't get to see the inside but she told me she thought it was very nice (about as nice as mine). Well at the light I lined up next to him (mind you we didn't know each other but I was going to the movies with my fiancee and some of her co-workers) to see what he had. Unfortunately he didn't know where he was going so we never raced. I was waiting for him to punch it but he didn't. Oh well, maybe next time.

 

Yes the 03 Accord isnt attractive at all, this is the worst yet!

 

I do not think they are that bad. At first I hated them.. but seeing one is a different story. The sedan looks pretty nice in light colors (silver, white, etc.).

The coupe, however, is pretty sweet. The rear looks like a Mercedes.. and the front looks like a CR-V/RSX hybrid. The front will be nicer with fogs and a lower lip spoiler. From many rear and side angles the coupe looks like the 2001+ CL, which is interesting. Funny that went you mention it on acl.com they don't agree

 

I've gotta admint I was saying the same thing about the sedan, and then I saw it in person the other day....It actually doesn't look as bad in person. Granted, there are some issues I have with the exterior, but its not as bad as I thought. Oh and YES the interior is HOT.
