Ahhhh, a real manual transmission at last! Drool, drool...
The styling leaves a lot to be desired! They should have adopted the TL's headlight "cutout" in the bumper to give it a more agressive look. The 6-spoked wheels are OK, but nothing to shout about. And where are the fog lights? The lower bumper seems to have a goofy, toothless grin without them.
I think Honda is making the same mistake they did with their Accord coupes: they looked too much like their sedan cousins. The CL looks too much like the TL, especially from the side. Coupe drivers tend to want a more aggressive styling, more sharp lines and a raked profile. Honda restyled the Accord Coupes, why not the CL?
Not saying that the TL is ugly, mind you just that CL's should look more aggressive.
Things I do like: the brushed aluminum trim is beautiful.
Anyway, seeing the new CL puts me at ease: I think the TL is safe for another year for sure, since Acura hasn't made any significant changes to the CL. If anything, the CL is more like the 02 TLs.
But MMM that stick shift and e-brake are delicious!
BTW, the black-trimmed headlights make it look like the car's wearing mascara ... I'll have to reserve judgment on that one though.

i saw something on the tv tonight (or my bro encountered some pix on the net)...
- wood trim replaced by what seemed to be metallic silver
- just rear of the shifter was a type s emblem and 7 circles indicating all the forward gears and reverse (lights up?) under a clear laminate
- headlights looked to be black housings
- taillights are red/clear a la tl's

it really looks the same to me besides the blackout lights and no fogs...that could be an advantage for NHB people...it makes the car look sporty, but its not worth it to trade a new 01 for a 03...the 6 speed is hott, period...Shyne

Let's see...
The black housing headlights..... hmmm, maybe with a dark colored CL.
The front fascia... hmmm, it seems to be missing something, yeah that's it... the fog lights. But that probably comes as an option.
The tail lights and the e-brake, I dig.
6 speed manual, I adore.
I wonder what's next for our TL.

The LSD they mentioned.... it sounds like ATTS on Prelude Type SH......
I kinda like the black-out headlights... taillights definitely looks cleaner than current, all red ones....6-speed and console mounted hand-brake looks SOOOOO YUMMY.....

I give thumbs down on the lack of fogs and the clear upper tail section. It looks like an afterthought. They should have left it red.
Everything else looks nice though. I still can't believe no fogs.

power train. But, it is better than our automatic transmissions
which is really what matters. If the TLS manual comes out, man
no one would buy a CLS. Makes me think we'll never get one.
