Smile New 02 TL S-type owner

Wassup fellas, I juts bought an 02 TL type s the other day and thought i sign up on this well known forum. Seems like theres a lot of good info around here. TL will be my daily driver but i do plan on Putting some coil springs on her and maybe a CAI. Its silver and in really good shape! Got a deal at $4200!!

Im also a member on LS1TECH. I own a 2000 Camaro SS with a 454 lsx motor and a 150 shot on c16. thats my track car!

So far I have added half a bottle of seafoam in the motor oil, & 1 bottle in the gas tank. I plan on running another bottle in the gas as well. picked up some NGK Iridium plugs too. Im debating on Powder coating the stock type s rims i have and painting the calipers like a dark red color and slamming it on tein h springs.

Welcome, let's see some pictures of both cars. Also you will not be slamming the car with tein h tech springs. They are the highest spring you can get for our cars. Look into tein s techs, eibach prokit, or h&r race springs to go lower. Also if you want to slam your best bet is going to be coilovers.

Well i dont want to slam it that much. i just want to drop it a bit. the gap right now is pretty high. im also a little worried i might blow out the stock shocks (145,000) by adding in a lowering spring.

I'll try and get pics of the acura tomorrow after a restore the headlights.

heres the camaro

Roads here suck big time. Lowering for me won't be anytime soon.

At145k miles the shocks are already blown. I agree with skirmish about the h&r sport springs.

I agree as well. The h&rs ride better than eibachs at an equal drop. Also, lots of people here have had their shocks crap out right after lowering. Mine only had 35,000 miles when I lowered it, and they went out in less than a month. Do them together; don't waste your time.

Any good sponsors on here that sell them for a good price? And as for shocks, what's a good replacement. Nothing to expensive since this is my daily driver.

How do you guys feel about the $60 cold air intakes on eBay? I'm planning on getting one but ordering an AEM filter instead of using the crap they send in the kit.

There are a few sponsors check out the vendors section. I would do h&r sport springs with tokico blues if your on a budget. I am going to upgrade to koni yellows when I find them for a good deal. I personally feel if your going to buy an ebay intake you might as well make a custom one.
