Need top 3 performance tips

My apologies if this has already been posted, but I'm looking for the top 3 (or so) performance tips for my 2001 TL. Everything I have right now is stock (no mods), and I'm looking for top items that would increase performance (HP) more than anything else. Also, it would be great to know (if possible) if suggested items have warranty implications.

Many thanks, guys.

Headers must be installed at Acura by a certified mechanic in order for your warranties to be valid.

As far as intake, your e gonna have to put it on yourself and hope for no problems. Ive had mine for 2 years... no problems.

If one does occur due to your intake your gonna have to take it off and pretend that you didnt have one (oH bTW F*cK Acura Dealerships)

Any mechanical or electrical failures as a direct result of aftermarket parts will void your warranty.

Lets say you hydrolock your engine. Your warranties on suspension and everything else is still valid... Just not your powertrain.... Get it?

Becareful of these dealerships... They make all their money thru the Parts and Service dept.

They will try to get the most $$$$ out of you one way or the other...

Last time I was there they quoted me $400 to install headers!!!#@!#!#!#!#!!#!#$$$$$!!!

Wheels and Tires!

Say what??

Depending on what you are after, many people over look the fact that tires and wheels not only help handling and looks. But the right combination of traction, diameter, tread width and weight has a direct impact on your 0-60 and 1/4 times.

Case in point, check out my 1/4 mile times in my sig and all I did was add lighter weight wheels and tires, and paid close attention to those other factors.

Matter of fact, I posted the 2 and 3rd fastest times that night and everyone else had either headers, CAI, etc.

Just check out the Cool Video between two TLS out on either the TLS or TL thread. Inferno dynoed 23 more HP, but we were running close all night long with mine actually posting better times and winning 3 out of 4 races.

So while this mod does not add HP, it reduces the amount of HP you lose with heavier wheels and tires, plus the improved traction. THe result is a better time.

Sorry, forgot this is the TL forum and not the CL forum that attachs a signature file. Anyway -

14.659 in the 1/4 with no performance mods.

IMHO, Headers, springs, sways are the best bang for the buck.

I got a K&N drop in filter instead of the CAI.

UR Pulleys, Headers, CAI

and #4 is Nitrous

That's B.S. Refer to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

I agree. Wheels & Tires as a performance mod is soo underrated. If I was on a budget (meaning no supercharger...3.5 liter upgrade...or anything that would cost more than 1000 dollars per shot), the 3 top mods I would do is wheels/tires (count as 2 seperate mods) and headers.

P.S.
4th would be sways.
