Need some help from you TL owners
Before i start, yes i have searched 1st, and thats why i has to start this thread.
The question is, does the 05 Acura RL caliper fit on the 03-up TL's.
The reasion why i need to know is, my friend has shoe horned a V6 motor into my civic, we want to upgrade the brakes, but staying with all OEM parts.
As we sat there looking at the whole front clip of a 03 Type-S, we saw the knuckles......they look like the oem civic's, so before we rip apart the civic again to test fit the knuckle, i would like to know if the RL caliper would fit the TL knuckle.
If anyone has any pic's please post them, and any of the rear of the knuckle.
Thanks.
Hans.

Excelerate knows all this interchange stuff--call Josh for real answer,
look number up on his post in sponsored sales or website www.excelerateperformance.com
I have never heard of it being done--are the RL calipers 4 piston or what?
gen2 uses legend 2 piston calipers, but those are not direct bolt up to gen3-sorry
You can adapt brembo fronts if you really want to...all depends on skill- and you seem to have that for a project of this scale~

All you need to know. It is not direct fit. Find a good machine shop.

Since these pic were taken the underside of the hood was done,
The motor is a J35a1 Honda odyssey 2000 with a 2003 Accord trans.
Right now this sucker moves, but i want more, right now i am looking for a J35a8 TL-S 6 speed..... but this motor set up is really hard to find.
Thanks guys for the quick respond.
I really hope this knuckle fits.

Wow stock J35a1 210hp 3.5 liter in a civic is wild. I have seen a few civics with the h22, they're pretty quick. This one should have alot more torque right ? Did he ever run on track ?

No...never took it to the track yet, but my friend who has a CL-S swap in his 95 hatch with a 75 shot did 12 flat in the 1/4 mile.
Plus, my brother who has the 03 Acura TL-S tiptronic in his 97 hatch, blows my doods off.
Thats why i want to dump my set up and go the big boy J35a8.
