need some help swapping speakers

need some help swapping speakers

hey guys so i searched before and most of you guys have
6 1/2 speakers in your tl so i went and got some alpine type s speakers and i tried installing it today and it doesnt fit it the back magnetic parts goes in the speaker hole, but not all the way in so yea how did you you guys install it? and if i put a spacer would there still be room when i put the door panel on? does anyone here know which spacer i need i got the alpine sps-600 speakers if that helps

whats the make and model of the speaker. its going to be hard for us to tell, try adding a spacer and see what happens.

the speaker is the alpine 6.5 sps-600 oh and can a mod please move this to the audio section i tried opening a new thread but its not working for some reason

i am big in audio bro haha. i will help you.
i fit 6.5s in the doors before BUT you have to make a template and they get really close to the panels and can hit. i went with 5.25s and they fit like a glove. make a template to fit the 6.5s and make sure its thick enough to hold the mid. then just screw it into door WITHOUT the speaker in it and pre drill the holes for the speaker to attach to it so you dont go pokin a drill through your mid haha

iirc there is in DIY or audio section on-- how to fit 6.5s,,,a bit of cutting may be required
