need help with brakes...
hey...what is the name of the part (i think its called the brake cylinder) that pushes against the brakepads when you brake. mine is broke and when i press on the brake it is wayy to soft...and when i tried to change my brake pads today i found out that one of the pads disinergrated and the "cylinder" was pressing against the rotor....when i try to compress the "cylinder" it squarted out brake fluid. is this called a cylinder? how much will it cost at the dealership without install? why does these things happen to me?

I'm not sure if you can rebuild a caliper but here is an exploded view. You can figure out what you need, then go to www.acuraautomotiveparts.org pick your year and all that stuff and look up 'front brake' and it will show you the prices of everything. I think that is about the cheapest you will find the parts. The caliper itself costs $147.24.
