And a good Complete paint job should cost WAY more than 1000. Typically a good job is around 3-5k

werd...i have heard of guys in NY who do it for about 2k,....cant say much about the quality...youd probably be better off getting whatever needs to be repainted done, and having the rest of the car's paint waxed/buffed nicely..

i say stay the same color... for 1000.. you aint going to get everything painted over (door jams and such) if youre going a diff color..

1 - Why aren't you reporting this to your insurance company?
2 - If you don't have insurance or don't want to claim it, please don't waste your money on the $1000 paint job. Save your money and get a "professional" paint job.

$1k, thats it? and its a quality job? shit, i had the hood on my roush and rear bumper redone 2 months ago at body shop cost, and it would be more than $2k to do a whole car, quality job for my prices. i'd double check on the "quality" dept. is there a guarentee/warranty with it?

yes, it does have 1year warranty.

and whole body painting with all dents scratches removed.

this price came out becuz one mof my best friend is working in body shop,

and he begged to his boss about the price for me...

i even got the finance ...

4times pay $250 each...

i thought it's not cheap at all...
but after what you guys said,,

he really begged his boss.. lol..

i had 98 maxima before it was stolen (got covered by insurance)
bought 00 civic took rims head lights (got covered by insurance)

if i claim it once more....

i'm afraid if my insurance cost will go up...

you'll end up paying a thausand either way at the end of the day...so claim it to the insurance and get your car fully painted done very profesionally at the dealership at the cost of your insurance...makes sense?

Get the same color, new color lowers your resell value later.

repainting your car reduces the value, even if its the same color. and def more so if you change colors.
i have always wanted to know this. when you change the color of your car, what happens with the color of your car for your registration, do you have to get it changed? if you get a ticket and it says a diff color then your car is can you get off the ticket, since the registration says its different?
