Need Brakes- what kind should i get??

Hello,,

I need to get front brake pads and I was wondering did anyone have any recommendations for brakes? I'm not racing or anything like that I just do normal city sometimes highway driving. I'm also looking for something that is not cheap and not expensive. Midway I guess? any suggestions?

Thanks

When you say "brakes" are you speaking of rotors also? There are some nice cross drilled rotors from KVR and Powerstop. These are NOT racing rotors but they will improve daily driving. Speaking of pads, MetalMaster, Potorfield R4-S (Hot Street) and top of the line Endless are great pads. I am not that familiar with Hawk pads. Another "inexpensive" upgrade is to install Goodridge brake lines. I'm sure you can probably do about any combonation of the above. Top of the line upgrade is the Brembo package but it is quite a bit more $$'s.

I just need to find good replacement pads, its almost time to get some and I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good recommendations. I just need the brake pads, I don't want to upgrade anything. I did a search and found two forums that talked about axxis brakes? These sound pretty good but I just want to get some others opinions. Thanks

I recommend the Endless pads. Do a search on Endless and look up my write up on it. If you got any more questions, let me know. Good luck!

I'm installing wagner thermo quiet tomorrow. I currently have axxis metal master, but they are too dusty for me. If you want them, they are fairly new.

I ordered hawks, but I won't be installing them for another couple of weeks as I am waiting for my rotors. I'll let you know how they are.

Alex, are you getting aftermarket rotors? What type?

I've had the Axxis Metal Master for 2 years now (installed by Comptech). The braking power is definitely improved and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Patrick,

I was going to get KVRs, but my friend can get me Powerstops for less. Still another 1-1.5 weeks to go though.
