Wink

Ok if you wana do it or ur friend can do it at home, great. I got the site that you can buy the factory paint from. Trust me, it completely safe. This is where i got the paint for my WDP from.
http://www.automotivetouchup.com/
Go there, chose ur year, make, and color . And urs is B92P Nighthawk Black Prl right , so pick that.
Ok if you plannin to paint whole kit(front, sides, rear) You will need 4 and a half spray cans. So just oder5 of 12 oz Aerosol Spray Paint . And it takes a week or more to get to ur house.
And yes those are factory paint so dont worry man. I got mine 4 cans White Diamond pearl but dam costed me around like 170 bucks. Because they shipped to me both Ground colors and the Base color to make it match with the White Pearl.
But i think ur color is just simple. Just some base colors then u will be fine. Lol Dont get confuse all right.
All you gotta do oder ur right paint from that site and ...drink coffe every morning to wait it to come lol.
Good luck with the paintin.

it wouldn't be too smart to buy a thousand cans of touchup paint

You want to repaint the while car ? or just the whole kit. 4 or 5 cans for whole kit is good enough. If paint the whole car then lol...body shop is the solution lol

The body shop will match it. They do it all the time so it should be no problem. Just make sure you go to a reputable shop. If you go to a cheapo place you'll get a cheapo paint job that won't match and look like

Ok..what about matching the condition of the paint my car is in. My car is 6 years old and the paint is still in great to excellent condition minus the knicks on the bumper?? Because the NBP on the spoiler will look much newer then the NBP on my car because its been 6 years old...

That's a tough call man. You might be able to clay bar, polish and rewax the rest of the car and get pretty close. A few months ago, I had my fenders (where the mudguards dug lines into) painted and the paint finish matched pretty well. Although it seems my car's paint was well taken care of by the previous owner.

Unless things are blended together there is no magic here you go paint code for a older car. Dont go to macco. they suck and thats the kind of paint job you will get.

Look in your phone book for Automotive PAINTs stores NOT parts stores. many of them will mix them up in a spray can for you. If not (this info would be available if you used the search button) get the raw material and use one of these (found at paint stores and places like Home Depot) Also ask for them to reduce the paint for you too.
also look into tower paints.

Maaco sucks. Our paint doesnt cost a few hundered dollars. The just mask off the parts and paint the rest. Our is 2 stage paint. The primer, base black(stage 1), blue pearl(stage 2), and clear coat. To get a real good paint job, they must remove trim piece not mask them off. prep the paint. do the 2 stage and finish properly. this can cost a couple thousand.

Whoever painted obviously had your car there to match your current paint condition with the new paint. I'm sure that's what they did. Because for my spoiler I am going to remove it and then give it to the painter. Because I need my car..

I wonder if the NBP paint would still be soft after a respray like it is soft from the factory. Or if the respray would actually be a tougher paint job than the factory one even though it is the same paint code they use to mix it.

Primer isnt included in stages. And if the NBP is in fact (havent sprayed it yet) 2 different coats it would be considered a Tri-coat system (base color, pearl, clear)
