navigation display help

My 2000 TL is starting to display many thin horizontal lines on the screen instead of the usual pictures. This condition comes and goes each time I start up as the day progresses. Have any of you had this problem, and if so, how was it fixed. . . . and by whom ??

Thanks . . for any help,

KP

Yes, I've noticed this problem too on my 02 TL-S. I thought it was only when it was cold but it does it even after the car is warm. Usually it goes away which is why I never brought it up to the Acura dealer.

Its funny you brought this up because I just experienced it this morning. It went away though..

Anyone else notice this?

Yes me too.. but I dont know if I experienced what you guys experienced... the lines were like faint and kine of like moving from bottom of the screen up. Kind of like what old old ancient comptuer monitors do. I've started to recently notice this, I just thought it was interference with my cell phoen or something. But now Im not sure.

Thanks, guys for your thoughts on this problem. I showed it to my dealer (Montclair N.J. Acura) and was surprised at their lack of knowledge about this condition. I'm not thrilled at the thought of them ripping into my dashboard/trunk while they learn!
I was hoping to find someone out who might have through this before so I could avoid this "not sure, let's find out" crap from Acura.
Thanks . . . . KP

Yep, I had this same problem with my 2K TL. Thankfully, it happened while at the dealership so a tech could see it. They replaced the navi screen (under warranty) and I haven't had it happen since.
