Hello, i have a 1999 acura tl and a 1996 lexus sc300. i have tried the garmin streetpilot style GPS systems in both cars, and have gotten rid of them. what other options do i have? i would like something that can be permanently installed. i have done some searched in forums and on the web in general, and have not really found anything i was interested in. any ideas or info?

I really want the stock navi in my car. If I could get all the parts together, I have a friend who worked in Acura service for 3 years, and he said he'd help me install it. The dealer quoted me at... well, sit down first..... $7,000 for everything. I just about flipped out. You can also go on ebay, buy yourself the Alpine retractable screen head unit, and then buy the navigation component. Cheaper that way then trying to buy it new from a store!

Hey comet, $7,000 is a rip-off. I'll tell you what, I'll do it for $6999.99

Maybe you can find a totaled TL Navi in a junk yard and get the needed parts off it?
