navi conversion question

Lets say I win the following auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2461591575

What other parts would I need for the conversion? And how much would the additional parts cost me? Also is this a do it yourself project or do I need to take it to a professional? Is this going to be a plug and play type project?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: navi conversion question

Anotehr question, can some one confirm this navigation system is from a 2002+ TL? The only reason I am asking because I throught the new navigation was dvd based? So it runs on this hard drive rather than a dvd rom? And my final question of the night. How much does it cost to purchase new maps for the naigations system see as this guy lives in washington state and I am on the east coast. Thanks guys.

And why would you say it's not a 02-03 Navi unit? Yeah, it's a 02-03 unit! Looks like you have all you need except for wiring... Of course correct me if I'm wrong!

The radio can be either an 02 or 03, but the Navi Computer is def. a 99. I remember some people here have swapped out their HD Navi's for the DVD navi with no problems--but watch out, the 03 Navi's have the voice piped into the radio via a RF transmitter (thanks, On-Star system) while the 1999-2002 guys have it direct. Not sure if they have any differences in the radio, I didn't look closely in the Helms Manual.

looking at the pics and comparing it to mine 02 tl navi, the hard disk is def not 02 because mine is dvd. and the headunit has a number on the cassette deck indicating if there is a voice plug in. non navi has a different number then navi. i cant see the number on the ebay pic. dont know about the dash. and cant tell on the screen. i do know my screen is touch, i dont know about this one. anyone else?
