nav system
I was wondering if someone can give more details on the navigation system, I hear it is possible to view tv channels and watch dvds through it. Is this correct, and do you have to do any mods for this or is all this functionality standard? Also, how easy is it to use, and is it easily viewable during the day?
thanks for any info!

You can use the nav system to watch DVDs with some fairly extensive mods, but I still don't understand why anyone would want to do that.
The system is pretty easy to use. I skimmed through the manual when I picked it up, but for the most part I have figured everything out by just playing around with it.
The screen is very visible during the day. It has different settings for day and night. At night, they dim the screen and the colors are a little more subdued. During the day, the screen is very bright and the colors are vibrant. There is an auto setting which puts it in night mode when you turn on the headlights, which is really convenient.
Sometimes when I get direct sunlight hitting it, I get some glare, but never enough to make it unreadable, and most of the time it looks very good.

it requires *rigging* up video to the screen which may damage your navi and/or electrical systems! lots of info and help on this in the audio section.
er, do it at your own risk!
