Nav question...again

I've done a search on this subject but couldn't really find the answer to my question: I'm seriously considering getting the Alpine NVEN852A Navigation System. The price is $1999. Does anybody know how much would installation cost? I'm thinking about the automated system that slides out from the CD tray. Any info. would be great so that I know I won't get shafted on the installation charge.

Ok, I just asked an installation place and they are planning on charging me $400 for the installation. This is for the automated monitor setup. Is that a fair price? Anybody has the aftermarket nav. that can shed some light for me? Seems quite expensive.

Is the Alpine NVEN852A Navigation System any better than the OEM Acura Navi system? They both cost $2000 each. You can update the Acura Navi disc for $100. Can you do that with the Alpine? The dealer charges $65/ hour to install it. Also, it shouldn't take them more than an hour to install since its just a plug-in ready to go.

Alpine MAKES the navi system for Acura, so its pretty much the same. $400 is way too much...probably just an hour or two for install.
