Post NAV owners, need help

The biggest pain is when you want to look up a place (food, for example), and you type in the name and it comes back with 50 places half way accross the country. Shouldn't there be a way to search by state (at least)?

Also- see the MDX commercials- what is this 'off road tracking' - a way to memorize your course so you can find the way back to the road?

I don't know what version NAV you have but I have the hd NAV from the 99TL. It does give you the option to enter the name of the city you are in.

About the memorizing places, I don't know how to do that yet but I'm pretty sure that it does.

Well, I have the dvd, but I think they operate the same - just a different kind of disk.

I think they should add a 'sort by distance to travel' option when searching by name. That would help a lot. For instance, if you go to places by name and type in "Mel's", 100 entries come up. If there were a sort by distance there, you could narrow it down pretty quickly.

I thought I found a way to do that once, but couldn't remember how to recreate it; thought maybe someone here would know.
