I spoke with Acura about upgrades to the NAV DVD, since the current version is still the 9/2001 version. There is a 'very' small update coming out in February, which includes updates to about 4-5 cities (nothing in NJ, so I didn't really pay attention, but I do recall Albany, NY, and Flint, MI). Supposedly there is a much larger update due out in the Fall of 2003. They told me probably in the September timeframe. I also asked about updates to the NAV software itself and the person wasn't aware of anything and 'probably not' was the answer.

well i have emailed the acura site about the new navigation, they told me, the release is some time in january and they would not disclose any more information about the detail of what it will include.


keep me posted if you get more info.

Just got off te phone with Acura....
Recorded message restates the the new release will be available in April but with little added; Charleston, and three cities in New York state.

I heard it is nothing noticable at all!!!! I have version 2.061 in my 03 TLS right now. What do others have???

I think they need to not only update the Cities.. but also update the firmware so we can have MPG built-in like the MDX has.

I called at the end of January and was told by an Acura rep that the release date has now been pushed back to March. He went on to say that aside from the enhanced coverage, there are supposed to be enhancements made to the user interface along with upgraded features.

He suggested that I call back towards the end of February to get more info.
