Question Nav asking for code

So I leave the bar last night in "who-the-hell-knows-where" (had a pool tourney), and use the Nav to get me on the right highway home. This morning I turn on the car and it's asking me to enter a code. Is this a security code, or one to synch on location or something? Why is it prompting me in the first place? I DID NOT touch the battery, and I know it was working when I turned off the car. Any suggestions? Anyone have this happen? Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you inadvertantly set a pin code for the thing. I have no idea how to clear it. I'm sure the manual covers it.

Check the stuff the dealer gave you. One of the cards has the radio and nav codes. Somehow it lost power. If it happens again, and you still have your radio presets, it might be a problem with the navi unit.

Good point, I didn't think to mention that my radio-presets were still there. Anyway, I'm at the dealer Thursday for the squealing brakes, so they can fix it then if I cannot. Thanks.

You didn't press the Personal Address Button, huh??? and it suppose to ask your PIN... That's the only code I can think of other than security code.....

I just had to enter the code from the book to get the NAV back. Still qondering why it is acting as if power was cut. Guess I'll just forget it unless it happens again. Thanks for the input. Andy
