Question Nav 02 TL

Does anyone out there know if a Nav sys can be added to a non nav car ie: is the wiring harness the same and the climate control just plug into nav computer, is gps antenna already in rear glass??????? thanks I know where there is a wrecked car w nav.

No, the 2 are not interchangeable i.e. you cant just add the nav system in a non nav car. You can however add an aftermarket system that would give you all of thefunctionality that you want. Give that a try...or buy a lot of paper maps

Actually someone on this board has done the conversion. It was a lot of work though. Do a search. I'm sure you will run into it.

It has been done, but i also heard that it wasnt as acurate as the stock navi. I recommend you do an after market alpine unit so that you can have nav, tv, dvd. That will save you all the money in parts and labor

Do what Paul said...also, I believe that Asif2002 has another stock nav setup with instructions on how to convert for sale.
