Post My TL in the snow....

Well, my 35 minute commute took me 4 hours. TCS light went on a number of times, but I was going at low speeds, and any sliding I did was well controlled. If you raise your front end with the front wheels in the air, step on the gas, you will see the wheels spin, and TCS thinking that there is slippage so it's applying the brakes. I don't think that there is any fuel cutoff, that's BS. But TCS works, but not as good as some I have driven (my parent's 740). All these car companies are trying to throw in all these standard features, and it's not even up to standards to really make it effective!

shoofin,

the pirellis handle much better in the snow then stock even though they are high-perf, and also, when we were comparing the heights of our TL's last weekend, it wasnt fair... i just realized that drivers side is stiffer and a little taller since they have to adjust for drivers weight... which means that my drivers side without me in the car should be a little taller, which it was, we need to compare drivers side to drivers side or passenger to passanger. anyhow, if ur up to it, maybe we can meet up saturday or sunday at the field again and see who has better handling , email me if ur interested..

Well, your stiffer sidewall and higher performance tires, sways and springs will most definately out-handle my TL.. I have springs as the only handling mod so far..sways are on the floor in my garage waiting for a nice day to install.. We should have looked at the side view mirrors, not the nose, thats where you really see the difference..BTW, Where's the pics from last weekend ???
