Angry My Security System does not Arm the CAR!

SO 3 days ago my car will not allow me to enable the alarm system....

I can lock the doors witht he remote but there is no red led indicator on my door....

I even tried to lock myself inthe car with the remote and manual unlock the door to set off the alarm system, but it never came on.

I can set the alarm off with the panic button but that doesn;t solve anything....

So.... anybody know how to reset the alarm system..../?

Will disconnecting the battery help?

Or should i just bring it to the dealer....?

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

Bring it back to the dealer, let them deal with that. You don't want to mess with anything and cause a short in the eletrical system.

when that happened to me, it was because one of the doors wasnt locking...hit the lock button the check all ur doors and make sure the trunk is closed right.

If the trunk, hood, or any of the doors is open, then it won't arm.

Also, from the moment you lock it from the remote, it takes about 30 seconds for the system to fully arm. Next time you test it, lock it from the remote, and wait for a while, then test out the alarm system.

Thumbs down

i i double checked all my doors, trunks, and hood that they are shut .... i even opened and closed them to make sure they are shut properly.... the security system is still not arming.... all the remote does is lock the doors.... I can't even have the lights to blink when i lock my doors. they do blicnk when i unlock the doors tho....

This is so weird.... I use to have false alarms after locking my car up for about 4mins and walking away from it..... it would happen every 3months or so.....

about 2 months ago i called my dealer about the false alarms, and my security system acting funny.... and they told me that it will happen if i had any accidents... but my car has never been in any accidents....
They told me to bring it in, but my car was fine the following day so i didn't go....
They also said that they will use some computer device to check my alarm system...

I'm just frustrated b/c this is a 2003 TL-S and my 2000 TL has never had this problem....
This must be a very rare thing to happen....

I will bring this car in next week after my final exams....

I would disconnect my batery , but i lost my CODE for the radio....

This alarm thing is stressing me out...Arghhhhh

BTW...I the alarm system does not *beep* when i lock my car the 2nd or 3rd time when i hit the remote.... I think my system is down... Or i might have DEACTIVATED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
