my new 6000k phillips installed

wow. that's all i could say when they turned on and they stayed white/blue. but the big thing was when i got behind the wheel. the light output is so pure and so white. ill try to get pics, but it's really something that i don't regret. sorry, but oem is truly weak compared even though these bulbs technically output less lumens.

i put up an offer in the sales section.

you can get them at the lowest price i know of from me. it's a simple replacement system. just two phillips bulbs swapped with the oem. no mod necessary. takes less than 10 min. i do not believe i can capture of true essence of the light with any camera. i just went for a drive at 5 am just cuz i wanted to see the light.

Im selling each bulb for 199 and the pair/set for 390

bobatimez, I just installed mine yesterday. They look very purple, not blue at all. We probably have different kits. This kind of sucks for me because I ordered those blue filters you have for the fogs. Its not gonna match now. How do your headlights look with the fogs? Do they match?

RDX at Accord V6 forum can get them for 89 US each bulb, but he lives in Vancouver.

more negativity. stop confusing people. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GET ANYTHING ELSE. it's like microsoft, PLUG and PLAY

just the bulbs, swap em and done.

hey Elegant, damn man, i turned em on on the way home and it was like a whole new ball game, no one and i mean NO ONE, not bimmer, lexus whatever came close to what i was putting onto the ground.

come up, Sinned, no prob.

96TL, they match well but the fogs with the filters are weaker and bluer while the headlights are pure white and blanket the ground literally.

why the negativity again? talk about all the ads you want, but i looked around and most people wanted 220 a bulb. the shipping from japan alone makes 89 a bulb a loss. try to make some logical sense, please.

My problem is that I got the Crystal White headlight bulbs which look VERY purple. I didnt know they would be THAT purple. Once I put the blue filters on the fogs they wont match at all and right now the fogs look yellow. I'm thinking of changing to fog bulbs to Crystal white but I would have to spend another $240. We'll see. BTW, I think that $390 is a good price for the Philips bulbs, the only place I know that even has them wants $440 a pair. I dont know how SAZABI's friend gets them for $89 a bulb. If they are that cheap, maybe I should get a pair for my fogs. Hey boba, can you please do me a favor and take a pic of your headlights with the fogs on? I know it doesnt look right in pictures but it will give me some idea.

Same here. I was next to a MB S-class last night. Those headlights always looked so purple to me. Now they look like halogens compared to mine.

hahaha! Serious? oh man..that's tiighttt!!! It looked pretty damn bright when your car was outside...too bad I didn't get to look at a longer due to the car waiting behind you. Hope to see it soon in action again. Oh yeah....What made you go to Impex? From your location..it's quite a drive just to get bulbs installed. Just wondering.

Talking about logical sense??? $400 US can almost get you a complete set of aftermarket HID kit.
Only Japan makes these bulbs? ha ha, funny...
do a search on "Ultinon" and learn.

If you want to buy these bulbs, contact RDX at Accord V6 forum. I won't guranteed that you can get 89 each bulb, but at least, he will do it for $150 each which is the MSRP.

Don't ask me how RDX gets those, I don't know him, you have to contact him yourself.

Logical enough?

np. Just want to tell you guys what I know from Accord forum... seems people at Accord forum know more about aftermarket HID, because WE DON'T HAVE a set that come as stock... and almost all of us ran around looking for info. and good price.

once, again, you are adding confusion. u forgot to mention that the 400 kit DOES NOT include 6000k bulbs. just regular bulbs.

Elegant, i went out there cuz Jen referred me.

ill try to get that pic for you, 96.

Damn I want this mod bad...I bet this dude RDX cant get the D2R bulb made especially for our housing...The prices you are talking about sound more like the ones that fit a 9005, or 9006 housing...There is a difference here in price...I would pay 400$, but if he did have them for 300$ it would be more logical...I just dont think its true...Thanx for the info boba...On a scale of 1-10 of needing to buy these bulbs, what would you rate it...Is it really that simple to install, and is the light output the $hit...Shyne

no messing with your head, i have been unable to think of anything else since i installed em. the light on the ground is pure ICE white/blue. i only wish it came stock on the car because the light on the ground blows away any other oem car out there.

Shyne, this is as near a 9.5 as i can say. listen, i really want you to enjoy em like i have. no regret whatsoever, just the guilt of being better and brighter and wider than anything else out there. i can't emphasize it enough. These are perfect and they are the $hit as you say.

i got pics on my friend's digi cam. he'll upload em tomrw. fairly close representation.

Tommy: Yes, even HIDs use "bulbs". The standard HID bulb we use is the D2R (Reflector Type).

I found 6000K D2R's at autolamps.com for $175 apiece.

You're right. 6000K bulbs aren't that much brighter. The main thing is the color difference. They are so purple/blue they make OEM bulbs look yellow.

sorry, dont mean to disagree with you 96tl, but the color difference in TL terms is BIG. i think stock looks like a smoldering burning gas while the 6000k looks pure white/puple/blue without any imperfection in the color. the main difference, though, is not the color that the bulbs look like to other people. the big difference is the light that gets put onto the road. much brighter, whiter, crisper, highlights more things and spreads better in my honest imho experience.

ill take care of the shipping if u get them through me.

bah! im sorry again 96tl, my friend uploaded the wrong pics (he did the thanksgiving dinner ones). i know ur starting to doubt me, please hang in there, they are great pics.

the comparison is sort of like this, but the 6000k side is even brighter if you can imagine. personally, the stock TL is not as bright as the bottom.

Don't you get the point? 2 6000K bulbs = a normal kit. Does that sound logical to you? Get some logical sense, muhahaha.

the guy who found $175 for each bulb is still reasonable, because MSRP is around $150
$390 for 2? come on, be logical. you are asking for like 195-199 each.

I know one guy who had philips 6000k for low beam and 6000k HID conversion on his fog lights. He said that it lights up GREAT and it looks awesome having both 6000k on low beam and the fog. He sent the picture to me. here check this out...
