Damn....I've been away from NY for a while now but I see nothing has changed Sorry about your headlights Vijay (with that name and location, you must be Guyanese or a Trini?)....my ex was Guyanese who lived in R.H....I could sure go for some Doubles with extra pepper right now
anyway, this HID theft will never end with our cars...when Acura redesigns their new TL, they better and I hope they were smart enough to know to mount the ballast somewhere else within the engine compartment instead of on the headlights itself. The POS thief couldn't be happier getting everything at once plus a flimsy enough bumber which one can rip off with their bare hands Since this design will never change on our cars.....this sh!t will continue. You add the DOT prohibiting the sale of aftermarket HID's after 08-15-03 and this epidemic will just escalate as more POS' will turn to the black market to get their HID fix on their POS!!!
Fidizzy, your sight is all to familiar to me growing up in Queens...I used to live in Ridgewood and that place and it;s surroundings have gone to **** 10 fold in the past 20 years. Did you have any wheel locks on your car? Hmmm, if they were the average factory wheel locks I doub't they would have done any good anyway.
Here's my story from a while back....not a high crime area like R.H. or Maspeth but a pretty good place but it's still NY. I have no idea how this guy was planning on getting my wheels off since EVERY lug is a different type of lock So sad....I actually carry the 5 different lug keys with me when I park:o
