My Car purchase experience
Well... after months of browsing around this website, I finally got my car. It's a 2002 TL type S, Nighthawk Black Pearl, with Ebony interior. It has 37,000 miles on it. I got a semi-decent deal on it, paid $19,200 from Bridgewater Acura in New Jersey. The dealership was pleasant, and they made it easy for me to drive down there, sign on the papers, and pick up the car the same day. Now, onto the problems
As I'm driving home from New Jersey, i accelerate hard, and change lanes with my right hand... As I go to put my right arm back on the arm-rest, I get whapped hard. Apparently the latch on the arm-rest is busted, and it can't stay down. Ok, no big deal. I then adjust my rear-view mirror but the mirror doesn't budge. Apparently someone GLUED the mirror in place!! well, after fidgeting with it, the glue snapped, and the mirror fell off.
I got home, called Bridgewater and discussed these two problems with them. They said they would take care of the cost of fixing these two idiotic problems (which A: I should have caught earlier, and B: They *deffinately* should have caught through their 150 point inspection). In the meantime, I bought a temp rearview mirror which works just barely enough to make the car driveable. Assuming my problems are taken care of quickly and easily, I will be very pleased with my purchase. The engine sounds fantastic, and all parts work. The paint is surprisingly clean, aside from a long, but thin scratch on the rear passenger side door. I'll have that wet-sanded. The tires have a good amount of tread on them, and the rims have very very minimal curb damage (Hard to say that theres *no* curb damage)
I'll have pictures tomorrow, but in the meantime I'm ecstatic to have a beautiful car, despite its current imperfections..
