My car!! =( my front bumper and hood.
I ran into a small construction. My front bumper is all in pieces I dont know about the alignment or what else has happen to my car until the estimate. My driver and passenger side airbags came out. What are some scenarios I can after I get it fixed. Sell that car? Trade the car? My dad thinks the car is handicap and paralyzed for life even after it is fixed. Please need some suggestions. Thanks

I think that if the Air bag came off, the value of the car will drop about $2000 at the trade in price.![Wink](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

seattleTL sorry to hear that....that sucks...only in some collisions could a car be paralyzed for life....could be tranny, suspension, or engine hits....if i new car is in the cards, try to convince your dad to sell the car and get a 04 TL Nav 6 Speed. let us know how it goes. -shawn

Damn man ... what happened that you crashed? I know you said construction but I didn't know what you meant... Sorry to hear about the TL. At least it sounds like you're OK, thats the most important part.
Any pics of the accident? Depending on exactly how it was hit if there was frame damage then the car probably won't be the same. It could be all cosmetic though. My bro's accidently took his Maxima off-road one night and the car looked like crap afterwards but it was all cosmetic damage. No frame or engine damage... So the car was fine afterwards. You'll have to see what the insurance says, they might just total it and give you the value of the car.

Yea I'm alright guys thanks for asking. I hit some like round barrier I dont know if they wre putting in flowers or what they haven't put anything their for li 7 years now they do. I have about 12,000 left on my loan for that car. I don' tthink the car will be considered totaled. My dad is in the process of gettign an estimate. Any ideas on what I can do to get the new TL or another type-S. If i sell the car how will all that financing work out? Thanks for all your guys posts. Ill try to get some pics this weekend.

SeattleTL, sorry to hear about the crash. I ran Edmunds to get a basic value for your car. I noted it in "average" condition just in case the car forever has mechanical problems...even though you take about a $1400 hit for that, you'll still come out well if you only owe $12k on the car. I figured avg mileage for an 02...about 30k. Trade in is right on $17k and private party is right on $18k. Even worst case scenario you got payoff on the car, only 12k, you can replace that same year car and finance only another $8-10k--and that's paying full dealer retail. If you got the $17k trade in value, you could pay off the $12k and have an extra 5 grand trade equity to put toward another car. Then you'd just finance it like you did this one. But that's not a bad situation if you only owe $12k on a car that's valued at over $20k....either way you look at it, seems like you still come out well in the long-run.
