This reminds me of an interesting story:

At this company where I used to work, an executive's car got hit in the parking lot (minor damage). Needless to say he was pi$$ed. So he sent an email to the entire company asking whoever hit his car to come forward before he gets security to replay the tapes and reports it as a hit and run. Within an hour, a secretary came forward and they were able to work it out. Problem solved. (If security doesn't tape the lot, you can scare them by saying you have witnesses .)

The kicker in this story was the fact that the executive's car was a crappy old Chevy Caprice Classic .

The other day this fat fvck of a man was getting something from his car, i was parked right next to him. this was at napa auto. While i was standing on line, i saw him bending in the car and his door was millimeters from my door. I dropped everything, ran outside and pushed him in his car and blocked my door. I went off at him so bad that he was offereing me money and didnt do any damage to my car. I moved it and then went and bought my stuff. people have no consideration.

LOL!!!
thats hilarious. it reminds me of the time my cousin and i were walking out of a supermarket and we saw an old lady let go of a shopping cart and it rolled down the lot and hit my cousin's bmw 530. there was a small dent and that old lady never heard the end of it.

You will never, never, never be safe parking in a regular parking space where people can park within 2 feet of your car. There is always some S.F.J.A who will slam their door into you without a care or any consideration in violating your space.

Your best bet is to park in the most remote spot with only one parking space next to you and edge over as far as you can. I also try to park at a slight angle and it seems to have worked so far. I only have one really small ding that happened when my wife parked the car at the mall without taking these precautions. I still love her though.

That's interesting. I've been toying with the idea of doing something like that .....hanging some kind of protection on the sides. I've tried parking away from other cars in the supermarket parking lot, hogging two spaces (when the lot is mostly empty) etc., to no avail. There is always the jerk who has to park right next to my car when there's lots of empty spaces in the lot. On one occasion, this fool parked so close to my driver's side door that I almost could not get in.
