My baby got hit!!!!
I was parked a the UC Irvine parking lot waiting for my class, when a car was try to back out and turned too early and hit my car at the right rear. it scratched my rims and bumber and the car is only 4 months old. I am sooo sad. I took care of my car soo well with no scrathches or anything and then in a split second someone can take away all that pampering. The worst of it was that the person was abouit to get away becuae she thought there was no one in the car until I got out then she parked the car and hit it slightly again.

Sorry to hear about that. What kind of car was the perp driving? I see to many posts about hit-and-runs in parking lots (it's even happened to me twice), and I tend to think it's jerks driving old POS's who don't have any respect for someone's nice ride. At least you caught her, so HER insurance will pay to make your baby new again!

Haven't see you post lately. I feel your pain. It is just too sad that people don't know how to drive and hit your new car.
Well, look on the bright side. At least it is just some cosmetic scratches. Your car will be fine.

Dood,
I feel for you man.....it's a hard enough pill to swallow, when you get into a accident, but to have that dimwit hit you twice might have drove me over the edge!!
At least it was only cosmetic......

She was driving a late 80s white buick century. Before I had my TL-S i was drive a '98 TL that was involved in a hit and run accident with the same kinda of car, color, and make. I guess I have bad luck with american cars.

BE REALLY CAREFUL WITH THE REPAINTING OF THE CAR! I say this because I think matching silver can be really hard.
I'm so sorry to hear about your bad luck. My silver '01 TL got hit a month before I traded it in. The place that did the body work was a well known BMW Mercedes' dealer shop and they did a very AVERAGE job of matching the paint. Not only did the texture look different under the clear coat, but they had too much sparkle in the new paint.
Good luck with the rest of the B.S. you gotta go through.

Lesson I learned a long time ago: park far far away from everyone. If you can't do that, park so that your car is next to an obstacle, such as the end of the lot, a light post, etc. Avoid high-traffic parts of the parking lot at all cost!
I've seen horrendous travesties being done to cars in parking lots. I've seen people back their cars slowly into the side of another, people clipping the corners of cars, etc. Be careful!
I really feel your pain. Make sure you follow through with the insurance claim.

Feel your pain big time!
Remember, 3 days after getting my Infiniti back from the body shop (repairing $10k worth of damage), some old lady rammed the back qtr. panel 4 times while trying to park. All while I watched in disbelief!
Some idiots need their licenses revolked!
At least the girl had insurance......and you did already confirm all the info. is correct, right? We've also had some dimwit give us all false insurance info and got stuck with the bill on another car.
Best wishes with the repairs!

Thanks guys. I got an esimate on the repairs and it is going to cost 1112.96 for repairs. The other party kept trying to get me to go to their body shop, but why should I. I am not trying to be mean or anything, but I don't want to leave my car somewhere that I am not familiar with. They said that their Acura dealer can do the repairs for like 300, but i truely doubt it. Insurance is going to check my car out today and hopefully have my car back next week.

Datz right! You take that car WHEREVER you want...even if it's the most expensive import body shop in town. How dare they!!!!! That's adding insult to injury in every degree.
Try to make sure the body shop you do pick provides a lifetime guarantee on their work. How long is the estimated time for repair? Hey, also try to make sure that the you get the same size rental....don't let them put you in a $19.99 Dodge Neo! That sucks! Make them give you a Maxima or Galant at least.

Who did you insure with?
The reason I ask is because, if you are insure with 20th Century, Farmers, or AAA. You can repair your car in Marcos Body Shop. It is the best in town. It does excellent body work. Although it is very expensive. But other party is paying. Why not go for the best.
