You dont need the drivers side fuse panel. Mine are the stock TL ones. If you used the CL dash harness thats part of the problem. Its designed for the 2 door and not 4 and is where all the custom wiring comes in. The under hood fuse panel is what i had to swap out to make things work.

Your problem is is the wiring. you have way too much not plugged in. Most of the white/gray connectors if i remember right are the body to dash harnesses. The green ones NEED to be plugged in. I only have 1 green one on the passengerside not plugged in. The large upper one you have missing from the fuse panel i have plugged in. ALSO, what is the brown connector on the drivers side in your vid hanging towards your center console. The wire looks big like something that would go to the ignition. Do you have the IMRC module under the dash hooked up?

So was I supposed to use the TL dash harness? And what do you mean custom wiring? Does that mean I have to splicing or anything?

The brown connector is the ignition and I just hooked it up to the fuse panel but I took out another brown connector to put the ignition one in. And I do not have the IMRC module hooked up under the dash what is that?

Nevermind IMRC is the control unit bypass valve. Need to get one of those -___- also going to order the under hood fuse box. And just need to fix all the wiring. I really am bad at wiring haha.

NO, you use the 2 CL-6 dash harnesses, and they get hooked up to the TL fuse panels. You need the CL-6 under hood passenger side fuse panel. You also need the 2 engine to cabin wire harnesses.

I've got everything you mentioned besides the IMRC and the under hood passenger fuse panel from the CL. I did most of the wiring today that I missed and fixed it but there's still some kinks I'm working on. Then I have to repin some from the TL harness and hopefully should be good to go. I've been reallllyyyy busy lately so haven't had much time to work on it.

K so I don't know if this is a good thing or not but now when I turn my key to turn it over the car makes a click sound. Also everytime I do that the radio resets then comes back on. I can hear the click coming from the passenger side

Here's another video to show what I'm talking about.

Sounds like maybe ignition related. Sure that brown plug goes in to that spot Teo? Remember you took out another brown plug to replace it.

Yea I'm sure man. The spot I plugged it into after taking out the other one is the spot made for it. I found that out after reading through the manual for a few hours. I actually have all the brown plugs connected down there on the driver side now as opposed to before. And i figured out that passenger side one on the fuse box we couldnt get last time. Basically everything works now even my windows, ac, defroster, headlights, highbeams, signal lights, radio(just can't hear any of it), dome lights, map lights, start select switch, trip switch, all dash lights come on. Only thing is the green key light doesn't come on, no emergency lights and sunroof or cruise control and driver rear window. But idk.

have you tried plugging a code reader into the OBDII port? I know it sounds funny, but for some reason after my swap, the green key light doesn't come on to allow the car to start if the code reader isn't plugged in. It's really weird.

I actually haven't tried that yet. I will definitely try that and hope it helps.

Even if it doesn't work because of the immobilizer, the car should still crank.

if it was the fuel pump it would at least crank but no starty start.

I don't know if it would allow the car to crank if it's an immobilizer problem, when I had my "no green key light" problem it would do the same, the lights would dim, the stereo would stop (it's supposed to do that) but no start, just a small click.

So what happened after those symptoms? Did you get the key reprogrammed and did it start or what? Or you also said you ran the codes on the obd2 port.

Ok so now when I turn on my headlights the cluster lights turn off for a second and then come back on once I turn off the headlights. The cluster lights also go out if I do anything else such as turning on my high beams, rolling down windows and turning windshield wipers on too. Also after messing with all those my driver side headlight started to flicker when I turned on my high beam. Then it went out shortly after that. Also if I turn my headlights on the passenger side headlight is now flickering.

Ok well as i was writing this I put the key in the ignition and turned it 2 clicks and now the cluster lights don't even come on anymore. However my radio still shows it's playing but I can't hear anything from my speakers still.

Nah man, it only works when I have the code reader plugged in lol. I haven't gotten past that yet because the engine is out of the car. I don't have to check or clear codes, all it wants is to be plugged in.

Probably would stop trying to start the car and hooking up the battery without all the harnesses plugged in. You may run the risk of shorting things if the harnesses aren't plugged into the correct spots properly.

Ok so i found another problem that i missed, because im pretty sure i got most of the wiring down i just need to figure out why my radio is on but i cant hear anything out the speakers.

Anyways, I dont have either of the clutch switches plugged in....im guessing that could be a big reason it doesnt start cause arent the clutch switches linked to the starter? I didnt even notice that when i was hooking it up.

Yea man. I put in my new 6spd u/h fuse box the other day and all I'm waiting for to come in is my engine to cabin harnesses which should be here by the middle of next week at the latest so I can hook up my clutch switch and then my IMRC module and I will be good to go. can't do much till I get those so I've just been chillin and the cars just been sitting for the past few weeks really. Also, I need to rehost ALL of my pics because stupid photobucket won't let me upload anymore so I started a new account. I just got to find time to rehost all my pics which is gonna be a pain in the ass. Oh well.

what specifically are you running into electrical problem wise? do you have the service manual for the cl? that helps a lot and helped me figure out most of my problems. just pm me if you have more specific questions and maybe i could help you out

Because the CL radio and harness for the radio are different. The TL radio has the amp built in, the CL does not. You have to rewire your hu harness. I made it simple on myself and ran new speaker wire to the doors and tapped into the speaker wires at the door.

Progress has finally started again. Working on changing out both engine to cabin harnesses and also hooked up the IMRC module. I'm hoping to be done by the end of the week considering I work 6 days a week now so I can't work on the car as much as I want to, but progress has started nonetheless.

Doesnt matter. The Radio wiring is different. The harness in the CL doesnt go to the speakers. The one in the TL does. He has the CL dash harness so the speaker wire connections dont go anywhere. Hence why he has to rewire the speakers.

Thanks for the advice I was wondering why some of the wires arent hooking up to anything down there. Now I can fix that problem.

On the other hand, heres some progress from todays work. I got all the old wiring out from under the dash through the firewall to the engine and put in the new harness on the driver side. Passenger side is tomorrow (well later today technically I guess now since its 1:20 over here lol). Only thing I'm having trouble with is hooking back up the windshield wiper motor because of the placement of it which is very awkward and I barely have any room to reach my hand in and plug it in. Kris did you have a problem similar to this when doing yours if you remember or anyone else? I already removed the cover over the windshield wipers to give me more space if I reach through the top of the car but I dont know its still an annoyingly small space.

Here is the pics

This is the spot Im talking about. You can see how limited the space is to work with to put the harness through the hole, then plug it in inside of the hole.

Old harness out finally

New harness ready to go in

Heres me trying to hook up the windshield wiper motor again which is a pain in my ass

All the way through to under the dash. You can see my clutch switch, clutch interlock switch and the IMRC plug(blue one hiding in the back).

I remember things were very tight. Just like hooking up the clutch lines in that little area. I remember removing the windshield wiper motor/assembly.

This is work from the passenger side today, didn't finish getting all the wiring out but it's almost there.

New wiring

Coming out

Thanks for the advice Kris, got it in after moving the windshield wiper assembly to the side

Now my question is this plug here. There is no identical one on the new harness to plug into this one where I just took it out from. Does it stay unplugged? It plugs into the module attached to the green bars under where I'm holding it from.

Oh another question I forgot to ask awhile back. What did u guys who did the swap do about the power steering lines? On the tl it has 2 hoses connected to the reservoir and the cls has only one. When I went to put my fluid in it all came right out cause there's no spot to put the second ps line from the tl. Do I need the cls ps reservoir?
