moving to san jose, anyone there do 2nd gen auto-to-manual swap

Got a job at silicon valley, first thing I am worried is that I swapped my tranny at dealership around 130k with 36k warranty. Once I move there, i expect that warranty to expire in no time and my tranny will die sooner or later. If it happens I definitely want to swap it with manual tranny from CL, if anyone do it or know someone does it in BAY area please let me know so I can be prepared. thx.

There´s No shop that will actually do that like it was a Normal thing to do, Remember that the Manual Swap its an envoyage from our dear Aziners members soo if You really want to do it.

START READING THE FORUMS ABOUT IT, AND EMBRACE YOURSELF CUZ ITS A MTFPITA.

Having the dealer do it or having some other people do it will come up with the same price tag. Just swap with another auto tranny...Odysseys or 3G TL. Should be a little less work but still a bitch to put on.

Ok thanks guys, yeah I can imagine shops will be over expensive. Last summer I paid dearly after it failed first time during my ownage. At that time, I thought next time it fails I will have manual tranny put. Now I am more into thinking that this car is much less expensive it is just probably worth selling for few bucks and get new car.

One of the 2gen CL guy did it with a 07 TL tranny here's the link

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...light=solution

If you cant find a TL tranny then get a 2gen Odyssey minivan 99-04
