Moving Next Door....

Well, it finally happened. My TL-S is gone and traded-in to the dealership . With the transmission problem looming in my head and the mileage creeping up, I made the decision to sell the car before the worst happened. I honestly would have kept the car and continue to mod it if it wasn't for the tranny issue.

But I am staying within the Acura family. I picked up a 06' TSX in Premium White Pearl with Ebony Interior, 6MT and Navi. So far I love the car. It is lacking in power and interior space compared to the TL-S, but this thing is fun to drive especially with the 6MT . The features on this car are amazing and I need a weekend just to learn all the voice commands.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. The TL-S is a great car - keep modding.

congrats on the purchase. I hope you left an acurazine sticker in the glovebox so the new owner knows where to go. It's be a shame if she was bought by someone who never comes back.

sorry to see you leave...and congrats on the new purchase. I can't believe you went with a TSX though. I got one as a loaner (not a 6MT) and just couldn't take not having the power there when I wanted it. I am sure the 6MT is a lot more fun to drive though. Good luck.

Thanks guys for the comps. I won a lot of awards with that baby. I did hate to see that TL-S go, but I had no choice. I will of course continue the modding onto my new car though.

Phesto - that is the factory engine cover painted to color match the car.

UglyPsycho - Mugen kit is already in the plans, hopefully in the near future.

You had one really nice TL-S. Personally, I could NEVER sell my TL-S for what the dealer would give me for it. Still love the TL-S after almost 5 years of having it (and also having an 04 TL)!!

Good luck with the TSX. The 06 has some nice upgrades

Congratulations

Congratulations on the new whip Fred.

Your ABP was the first car I saw on this forum with the Mugen/Sarona combo when I first joined, and I had to do it to my NBP. So it's sad to see it go, but I'm looking forward to see the creativity put into the TSX!!

Lots of luck!

Don't get me wrong. I loved my TL-S, but because of the tranny issue I couldn't have peace of mind in keeping the car for more years to come.

TLSNavi03 - Sad to see my car go also, but the TSX will definitely be modded just as well. I already have plans for Tein Flex coilovers and cat-back Mugen exhaust.

Phesto - I didn't use heat resistant paint. I had a body shop paint the engine & battery cover so it would match almost perfect. They have to prep the pieces really well or else the paint will crack from the heat. I had my cover for a year and it didn't crack or warp - it's all in the prep.
