Motor Mounts
For a 2003 was told front and side mounts are bad but rear is fine. Dealer wants $600. plus tax whereas local repair (they have high quality mechanics) wants $400 using acura parts. Is $400 ballpark fair figure? I probably want to get them done before the rear gets stressed so much I'd need to replace it also now. Thanks for any input.

If $400 include parts, then I'd say that's a very fair price.
Front and side mounts alone are a little over $200. |
I agree- the acura front mount is ~140 for the part, side mount is ~50
prices may have increased labor on side 30 minutes labor on front, ~1.5-2.5 hrs billed shop labor around 100 per hour = 400 add 30-50$ per hour for dealer rate,, and they will have a lower level pay scale/training level do this basic job!! |
Good price.
check the work - be sure all the little clamps and holders are still there and fastened when done. I have seen this happen A LOT! |
If you want mounts that are more durable and help reduce engine movement you can also consider our XLR8 mounts; they have polyurethane bushings. They are firmer than the stock mounts though too.
