Regarding this whole new Compact side-view camera thing...
Where would the image (from the camera) be shown??? The navi-screen? Now I know this is "concept-only" , but I can't imagine looking somewhere, other than where your rear-view mirror is, to see if it's ok to pass. What's the benefit? Aerodymanics??? I'll pass.

The Maxima analogy is a good one - a whole lot of performance in a weird looking package. Glad I picked up my 03 TL-S instead of waiting. It may be slower, but at least it isn't ugly. I knew the 03 Accord was a bad sign of where Honda/Acura styling is going.
As for the lack of mirrors: I doubt that cameras will be on the production car. Of course, that could explain the $5K price hike - making NAVI and the cameras standard. Having mirrors might actually help the styling.
Quick vote, how many people, after having seen the 2004 TL, are going to buy a 2003 or keep their current TL? I definitely am keeping mine.

I think it's time to kill this thread, I'll post....
The car to wait for is their new RL replacement (RL-X???) It has the look you're looking for. More agressive, sleeker, not FUGLY (IMHO) 300HP AWD Electronic Dash etc etc. When you see baby spot fogs or driving lights in the lower front corners of the front bumper, that'll be the car I saw last summer. It's HOT! :flamer:

I wish I could have gotten more, but there were a ton of people crowding around, I had to have my buddy stop people from walking in front of me. And since it was just a "concept" car there was no interrior to take pictures, of just a shell.

This is what Car And Driver has to say:
"Roughly six months from its debut, the all-new 2004 Acura TL is just over the horizon. In the meantime, Acura whet our appetites in New York with the TL concept, which offers "more than a strong hint at the styling direction for the 2004 TL," according to lead designer Jon Ikeda. Evidenced in the concept, the next TL is designed for the enthusiast audience and is all about performance. With lines reminiscent of the recently introduced TSX, the TL concept features robust fender bulges, a long hood, a sleek cabin, and side markers and door handles located in the character line, all in an effort to convey an "ultimate athlete" character. The concept's four-piston Brembo brakes and huge 19-inch wheels won't make it to production, but Acura did say that the new TL would offer DVD audio 5.1 (an industry first), Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity, and XM satellite radio. "

And heres a video of the car from the show, DIFF Video Than Before..
