Moonroof Visors

I noticed this site sells moonroof visors for not only the 03 TL, but also the 03 TL-S. Does anyone know what the difference is? I hope the dealer gave me the right one. Also, the Type-S doesn't have different floor mats, does it?

99-03 TL all use the same visors. floor mats are the same (size and shape) between non-TypeS and TypeS for 03 TL.

IMHO, I will never use those visors again. You have to keep on taking them off to wax and clean under and people like to put them on as soon as they get their cars and guess what, they dig into the paint and leave marks and you can't take those off. I have two cars that I put this sunroof visors on and that was the biggest mistake ever. Also, they increase the noise as air rushes thru them. Like I said, stay away from those things.

However, it is much quieter with the visor on when driving on the highway and you don't end up with moon roof hair.

I took my visor off because it took nearly half the moonroof, the moonroof is already small as it is. The visors also makes the tilt feature useless.

cleaning being a pain and paint scratching are also the other reasons.

I just installed the visor this weekend. I wanted to be able to open the moonroof on the freeway without it sounding like a jet engine. Well, the noise has been greatly reduced but so has the amount of air coming in. That wind deflecting property works a little too well.

So, even though I used the protective silicone tape, the visor will still leave marks? If so, I 'll have to consider taking it off.

I have my visor on. I need it cause if I don't have it I can't open my roof w/o eating my hair!!! It makes the opening smaller, but I like it.

We have had them on all sunroof cars, because it is much quieter on the highway with the roof open.....

Matter of personal preference really.

If you put it on for a few weeks or more youll have scatch marks from where the rubber seal rubs on the roof

Hmm... forgot about that part. I waxed that area before I installed the visor but yeah I guess after a while the seals would rub it away. Maybe every couple of months I should uninstall and rewax that section again.

Be careful when you wash , If your car is in a slight downward
slope and ya leave the hose on the roof too long , water will
run down to the visor and collect under it. There are two little
vents , one on each corner but I find they don't drain all that
well so I end up using a narrow sponge to wedge in and soak
up water. Real pain , but cuts down on wind noise so I'll
keep usin it.
