moonroof question

moonroof question

anyway to mod the moonroof so you don't have to hold the button down to open and close it? i think its called one-touch in other cars

my guess is to have a module, almost identical to what we use for window mods for aftermarket alarms.

you could use a latching relay, but you might run into problems later on down the road because there is no safety mechanism to fall back on.

with the window mod you can set it up to have a one touch up and down, or to roll down just a little, etc.

we can do this with moonroof's also. if you wanted to get really crafty, you could use a relay and a timer and try to time out when to apply power and when to remove it, but thats the other nice things about the window mods, they have circuit protection, it sense when there is resistance in the line and stops applying power.

directed electronics makes them.... 529t is the module #
