Red face Moisture under rugs

I was running wires under my rugs today and I noticed it was damp. Is this normal? Anyone run into this problem before? I don't want my floor to get rusty and fall out cause then my car will be like Fred Flintstone's.

I don't think that it's normal. Cars were built to keep rain out. Could it be from one of your friends who came from outside with wet shoes on (from the snow)?

If it's really damp, dry it up really good and wait for a couple of days and check again. If it's still wet, then definitely get it checked out.

Good luck!

Some quick areas/questions:
Ever had the windshield replaced?
Any body work ever done?
any mods where you had wires pulled through firewall or under the body (sound system, alarm, etc?). One of the rubber grommets may be leaking.

If it is not from weather - check to see if any rubber plugs are missing from the underbody - usually there are a couple of drain type plugs (but have no clue if they even exist on a TL). Happy hunting!

Exclamation

If it's from the snow, get the floormats from weathertech, they have ridges that trap the snow & water.

You know what, I ran some wires through the side of the doors and removed the rubber seal, maybe thats where it's coming from, I'm gonna check it out. Thanks.
