Mobil 1 question

After last oil change, I still have a 1L bottle of the Tri-Syn left and wondering is it safe to mix the Tri-syn with the new Super-Syn?

I don't even think that matters. Create your own oil cocktail

yup, it don't mater if you mix grades. people do it all the time when switching from a lighter oil for winter to a heavier on for summer. there's usually .5-1qt left in the engine and pan when you finish draining the oil

And I actually run a mix of 0-30 and 5-30 weights.

2-3 or 1-4 depending on summer or winter. Obviously 2 of 0-30 and 3 of 5-30 in the winter and 1 of 0-30 and 4 5-30 in the summer.

you can mix any oils as long as they are 5w-30... you can even mix synthetic and non-synthetic oils..... but ofcourse you won't be getting maximum protection out of synthetics

Sorry, I thought it was understood that we were talking about Mobil-1 here.

Anyway, yes, I am running straight Mobil-1. So my mix will not suffer as you indicated.

It's passed the 'RoadRage' (resident lubrication expert) approval test.

True, but depending on your objectives in mind it makes a difference on which blends and types you mix.
