Misfire cyl 1,3,4,5,6, and random

so I just did a head gasket kit on my 2003 TL Base @278k, before the head gasket fix I got the car for 400 bucks because the gasket issue and random misfire. After rebuilding it runs a lot better but had a cyl misfire on 5. I tried swapping two coils around and that gave me a misfire on all cyl. except #2 plus random. the plugs are new and gapped to spec, NGK (NKG?) double platinum, but the coils are not new. I have Checked for pinched wires or anything I may have left unplugged, but im running out of ideas at this point. Any suggestions?

Welcome to AZine.

How do you know there's a misfire on all cylinders except 2? If you're going by OBD2 codes, they don't mean anything. Also, you shouldn't have gapped any spark plugs. They come pre-gapped if you bought the right ones.

If swapping coil positions affected the misfire, then the coils are the problem.

Check to see if the gasket is upside down blocking the holes or if the holes themselves are gunked up with carbon and oil deposits.
