Are you pushing the clip up from below it using a flat head screw driver? while doing that the mirror should pop down/forward with only a minor pull. THE MIRROR DOESN'T COME STRAIGHT DOWN SO DO NOT PULL IT DOWN. DON'T USE EXCESSIVE FORCE. I have said that over and over in the DIY. Obviously if you are cracking your windshield you are using excessive force.
Depending on your insurance company and your plan, some do cover cracks on the glass.

so depending on my comp they will cover it even tho i messed it up myself? its not that big its liek 2 inch cracks only seen from inside.

Was your car bought used or been in an accident ? I remember some1 who bought a TL that was used and it seems it was in an accident and had the windshield replaced. The bodyshop used a cheap front windshield from china and not OEM. So the bodyshop just epoxy the mirror onto the car instead of installing the mount. OEM windshields have HONDA on it at the lower corners of the windshields.
If your car does have a OEM windshield try pushing the clips down and then up to loosen the mount.
As for insurance. Try talking to your agent. Obviously don't tell them that you cracked it yourself.
