Michellins Soft or What?

Michellins Soft or What?
I've never had so much trouble in so short of a time period. My wife has already picked up the following on these tires:
1. nail (flat fixed)
2. some bizarre object (like a metal coil w/ shaft) (flat fixed)
3. big piece of glass, looks like a corner. It's embedded partly on the side wall & part on the bottom part of the tire. I know that if I go to remove it we will have yet another flat tire & I don't know if they could fix the flat this time!
Anyone else experiencing some unusual happenings w/ these tires?

Burning Brakes
You're running over this stuff, and it's the tires' fault?
Sounds like bad luck to me. I had this happen with my Vette a few years ago. A nail and a giant bolt within two weeks. The bolt required a new tire- nearly $300.

Not a Blowhole
You got it backward - the rubber is hard, that is why it has such long tread life.
Road hazards puncture truck tires, windshields, and occasionally sheet metal - what in God's name do you expect? This is as much about bad luck, and possible user error, than anything.

Okay, okay...I felt the same way as you guys...at first. But 3 incidents within 6 months? 2 within a couple of weeks...common, my wife is only driving surface streets & she's not off roading anywhere. That's why I started thinking maybe there was something more to this than just bad luck or bad driving. And really, let's be fair....how can you drive "better" & avoid this stuff? These are small objects, after all, that won't be visible while DRIVING.
Anyhow, just hope this bit of bad luck goes away soon!
Thanks everyone for the ribbing!

I used to live in Tulsa, and their streets are filthy with accident debris (the fact that most Tulsans drive like they're on drugs is also a factor). I had 1 puncture every 3 months on average.
Then I moved to the Kansas City metro area, where the streets are a lot cleaner. I've had 1 puncture in the last 3 years.
So your city's sanitation dept. probably has a lot to do with it. That and the possibility that people around you drive like they're on drugs.

Thank goodness Discount Tire is fixing these flats for free (we are a repeat customer). Although these tires weren't bought from them....we had bought Yokohomas a couple of times and less than a year ago (for our Infiniti that was totalled). But, they probably will get tired of that real soon...or this latest puncture just may not be fixable...it's like right on the edge of sidewall and tread...have to have the wife take it in and see what the guys say about it.
Here's to clean streets again!!!!
