I am currently working on new program, that will give Acura-TL members special benefits. This is how it will work

Were going to have a special section that will list Acura dealers in your area that will give Acura-TL members special pricing on part installs. This way you can buy the parts here, and have a Acura dealer to bring your parts to for install, or we can have the parts shipped directly to the dealer

How it will help the site, is these dealers will pay to get their dealership listed on the site, in return members will be encouraged to use them for part installs, service and new car purchase

This sponsor program will help with the always increasing web hosting and upkeep of the site

This is a great idea! The BMW Car Club of America runs a similar program, and it works great for the dealers who participate. They typically offer discounts of 10-20% on parts and accessories; some discount their labor rates as well. Good luck setting this up!

Tim -- if a dealer in an area joins, will you keep an “far” eye out for wide scale problems (in pricing, complaints, install quality, etc)?

By problems, I'm NOT talking about little stuff. I’m talking about FUBAR situations that happen to a bunch of people.

There seems to be some dealers that install the aftermarket parts; I'm now finding out from my own experience and the experience of others that some [dealers/shops] are GREAT, OK, and/or just plain TERRIBLE (as in can't tighten the bolts on sways)

This is my first post on the TL board, you guys have a nice site. Glad to see you are working on discounts for install. Here in Sacramento, i recommend Niello Acura/ Porsche. They have done all my installs and are very performance oriented. They are also reasonably close to Comptech headquarters. They should be interested. I will definitely be supportive of autocarparts.com. My next purchase will be Comptech springs and Koni yellows.

Bimmer had something very similar to this. Wow! The car is already great, but now this will surely enhance the ownership experience of owning my TL-S. Now one question....Can you get corp. Acura to look at these boards for feedback? I mean when I express my problems with my X5 in the boards I soon then get a email from BMW corp. saying their apologies and telling me what they will do for me or what I can do...

I would try to get an email list from corp acura for all acura service departments in US and mail them.

There is only a small sampling of people on this board. There may also be other dealers that may want to offer this, but have not started doing aftermarket due to perceived low demand or issues.

Stopped in at Niello's service department today. There is a big banner hanging off their service counter that says "Featuring Comptech Sport". They quoted me a rough price of something under $1500 for Comptech springs, sways and alignment, installed. Their service and performance attitude is head and shoulders above any other car dealer that I've ever visited. I wish now that I had bought my TLS there, although they probably couldn't care less where I made my purchase. Combine their service attitude with a nice discount arrangement from this site, and I would be a happy camper!
