Matching leather?
I'm looking to find a supplier that sells leather which matches my ebony leather as close as possible. Does anyone know of a place that carries a good match? Thanks.

Mr fahoumh,
I'm using it to reupholster my headrests. The CL headrest has a cut-out in the base of it which limits the size of a monitor I can fit in there. I was going to take them down to an upholstery shop and have them restiched without that little dome, so I'm looking for new leather. I'm really anal though, if I can't find something that matches really well I probably won't do it. I went to a few fabric shops locally and didn't have any luck.
I'd imagine 4 square feet would be enough
Thanks again.

ah....have you tried contacting the Acura customer service? They might know if a dealer has some leather that they can sell you. I don't know much about this....until now I've never heard of anyone doing this. Have you thought about buying stock TL headrests? I'm sorry I haven't been much help.
P.S. please don't call me "mr"....I haven't earned that title plus I'm only 20

Your acura dealer can get the leather for you. I got my driver seat re-upholstered becuz of a small tear in the stitching (covered by warranty) It takes about a week for the manufacturer to mail it to the dealer. The dealer then outsourced the upholstery work to a nearby shop.
My recommendation is to buy the leather from the dealer and get your dealer's recommendation of a reputable upholstery shop that they use. This way you can go to the upholstery shop and say that the Acura dealer recommends your shop. It makes them do a better job because their reputation is at stake, (Your bad feedback to the dealer may cost them the entire dealership outsourcing deal). I think you want pleather not leather if you are talking about the back side of your headrest. Pleather will look exactly identical to your stock material. Leather, however, will be unique. Different cows have different skin texture.
