i was just wondering since our second generation TL's did not come in manual and the 3rd generations do...would it be possible to take a manual tranny from the third generation and put it into a 2000 TL???....i was just curious to know because i would definatly enjoy my TL alot more if it was manual

 

you could just get a 03 cl manual tranny i think it would be easier

 

and i'm more sure you'll enjoy keeping $7000 in your pocket. or spending in other mods.

I mean, if someone can put a chevy V8 engine into an rx7 or put a v8 into an IS300 with a 6spd tranny swap, i'm sure you can do the 6spd to the TL...just not cheap.

nobody that i know of has done it. but its been said that the 6spd from a CL-S can be put into the TL but it requires several other stuff...ECU mod or swap, and who know what other lots of stuff.
