My car currently has 49,500 miles on it and i had bought the car from Car Max when it had 45,500 miles on it. I just had an oil change at 48,500 which i put Mobil 1 and my TL runs on 93 octaine Gas at ALL TIMES. My TL is bone stock and up until just this afternoon, when i start my car up, it starts up normal with no problem but then i noticed that usually all the little indicator lights on the Gauge cluster flash for like 2 secs and go away but all of them went away except for the Maint Req light which continued to flash for several secs more and then goes away. It never stays solid lit. It just flashed by itself for several secs longer then the rest of them and then goes away. But i swear ive never seen the Maint Req light flash like its doing now. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM? Car sounds fine but this morning when i was driving it, I felt a slight loss in performance from my car, as if its not accelerating as good and maybe the Torque is a tiny bit less. IDK, it could just be me and maybe nothing is wrong. NEED SOME ANSWERS THOUGH. Thanks. This is the first issue ive ever had with this car since december of 2004 when i got it. Thanks.

do you have a manual? if so id suggest reading it.

The Maint required light is nothing more that a Dummy light. its supposed to be reset at every oil change and is a "just" a reminder to change your oil. its pre set from the factory for 75oo mile intervals. With the car OFF Press and hold the Trip and Reset buttons in and keep holding, then turn the key to the Run position (1 before it starts the car) and keep holding in the buttons till the maint req light turns off. it takes about 10 sec. just make sure you do it in the order described
