Question lumbar support- NOT pumpable

OK...I know about the lumbar support and used it before. Then on my previous post someone says it's pumpable. I tried it this morning and I don't think it's pumpable. It didn't make any difference whether I did it once, three, or ten times. I don't think it's even a pump...probably some kind of roller in there. What do you guys think?

I have a 97, and I am pretty sure that it's pumpable. Not sure about the new ones though.

I think it's a roller but than someone mentioned, probably as a joke, in the least used gizmo topic about the pump...

The lumbar support in the 99 is "pumpable".
The lumbar support in the 00/01's is not.
I don't know about the 02's.

At least '99 has something that '00 does not...

My 2000 TL manual says, "Pivot the lever forward until it stops, then LET IT RETURN [emphasis mine]. Doing this several times adjusts the lumbar support through its full range." So the manual makes it sound pumpable, but mine definitely does not return to the up position. Is this just something they didn't bother to change in the manual, or are we sure the 2000's lumbar support is really not pumpable?

It was me, but as Jason said, the 99's are pumpable.

One pump-return-another pump-return-third pump-return (max)-4th pump-deflated.
