Lucas Oil Tranny Fix - Anyone used this to fix our tranny?

My 99 TL warranty has expired,

The tranny is starting to slip between gears 2-3 and the TCS light just came on the first time today, I am pretty dead sure its a tranny problem

I have used LUCAS Tranmission Fix before in my previous cars , mitsubishi eclipse auto , and numerous other cars manual all worked fine and very well.

I was wondering if its safe to use with your cars, lucas claims its safe with all oils AT or MT and works for every car etc.

Let me know what you guys think and if this could fix or temp fix the problems I am having... I just dont have 4K or 2K to rebuild my tranny at the moment.

This is what I will be doing

1. Drain Tranny fluid, top up with new Honda MT Fluid and a bottle of Lucas Tranny fix

2. Clean Transmission screen

Thanks

Ed

Before you put something in the tranny, get it inspected to determine. It might not be completely gone.

A friend of mine has used Lucas products on a Honda Odyssey with temporary success.

If it's the clutch packs going, nothing you do, other than a rebuild is going to help.

Personally, I would just do the 3x3 change and hope for the best. Acura transmissions are very picky, and I think the additave might cause more problems. When these trannies go, it's too late.

A member recently cleaned some screens and that helped his problem. The thread is in the "problem and fix" section.

Exactly clutch packs are like brakes. There is a pad that wears. Once worn nothing you do will fix it other than replacement.
